Hey Reader,
This last week I ran my Leading in Alignment to your Values workshop with a new group of Managers. The discussion included dealing with misalignment in company or leader values, and also when to consider if we are grasping too tightly to something getting in your own way.
When we try to hold our values so firmly, it becomes impossible to collaborate with everyone at the workplace who may have reasonable but competing values. How do you balance Empathy with Expedience? Strategy with Expansive Mindset? Delivery with Excellence? It gets tough.
There is a layer of both emotional intelligence here, and a layer of invisible work that honestly the best leaders demonstrate but it remains rare.
Do you know what your values are? If not, this is where I start with all my coaching clients and Manager trainings. You have to know yourself and what you will prioritize to start to notice where others are coming from and what they may be upholding.
If you've not yet explored your Values, you can grab it here as a standalone workbook for just $20.
